AERA · DATA & DELETION
Data & deletion: today and how to do it
The current prototype has no account, so there is no cloud data to delete. Here is how the on-device data can be cleared.
Current status
No account = no cloud data
AERA is currently an iOS local prototype: no account, sign-in, or cloud sync. There is no account or data on a server to delete, and no account-deletion flow to walk through.
On-device data
What lives on this device
The prototype only stores the following on your device (all local, nothing uploaded):
checklist / workbench
Your lists and workbench content, stored in on-device UserDefaults.
Mock Health (simulated health data)
Example data from a local simulator, not real health data.
How to clear
Clear all local data
The current prototype has no in-app "clear data" button, so deleting the app is the reliable way:
- 1Press and hold the AERA icon on the Home Screen
- 2Tap "Delete App" and confirm
- 3Reinstall and the prototype starts fresh
Deleting the app removes its entire sandbox, including all local data. This cannot be undone, so make sure you don't need anything first.
A future account version
In-app deletion will come with accounts
If a future version of AERA adds accounts and cloud data, it will include an in-app "delete account and data" option, with confirmation and the chance to export first. This page will be updated then.
